Finding your forever home is a big step and for some, finding a property that ticks all of their boxes feels impossible. When this is the case, it can be beneficial to look at developing your own property.

Going down the self-build route comes with many benefits, including flexibility in design and materials used which can be very rewarding in the end product, but won’t be without pressures and worries along the way.

There are different types of self-build options available, for example, a turnkey is slightly more restrictive in design and finishings when compared to a self-managed project, but even with the latter, architects and property developers can prove vital in assisting to manage the build for you.
